Don’t run when you are angry! An article published in Circulation showed that exercising strenuously when you are angry or emotionally upset increases the risk of cardiac arrest. Many factors have been shown to precipitate heart attack, such as job stress, holidays, spectator sports, physical exertion and emotional stress. However, combining physical exertion and emotional stress seems to triple the risk of heart attack! So the next time you are feeling angry, consider taking a yoga class or meditating instead of going out for a run!
