Parent Influence Affects Eating Behaviors in Children

A new study published in the International Journal of Behavioural Nutrition and Physical Activity showed that parents had the greatest influence on children’s eating patterns. Even when healthy habits were taught in school, parent support had the biggest effect on whether kids were overweight or obese. This shows that parents need to be educated and provide their kids with opportunities for healthy meals and exercise. Without this piece, children cannot apply what they learn in school.
